As I told you all about my arthritis I may as well show you a picture too. (yes its the right one)










We have just been on a trip from Fremantle to Broome and travelled for about 30 days. We visited the Pinnacles and here are some pictures.














Heres one that makes our van look like a miniature!!














We passed through Geraldton and visited the Cathedral. From the outside it looks like a regular church, not even a cathedral really, then when you get inside, you think; Hmm, it still doesn’t look like a cathedral, it looks like Mum painted it.!!















We stayed in Exmouth for a week, as Cheesy wanted to do a dive in the Ningaloo Reef and it was a bit too windy for the first 6 days, but he got there eventually. He saw loads of things: sea snakes, sharks, turtles, hump back whales.













Exmouth is a small town, like most of them in WA, but was lovely, There’s loads of beaches and things to see. The pool at the caravan park was the best! It was really cold and refreshing after a day of sweating!

After that we went to Tom Price, which I didnt really like as there were loads of bugs. I also got a bit of heat exhaustion and had a headache from 10.30 that night until 10 the next morning. It was horrible.

Anyway, we went off to Kariiini National Park the next day and stayed there the night. We went on a 5 km walk through bushland, rocks and little streams. We came to waterfall filled gorges and had a little dip. It was glorious after walking in the burning heat.
We saw a dingo, some lizard things, one was massive.

Then we went to Port Headland, which is an industrial town. We saw massive trains, with 4 trains pulling it and at least 180 carriages being pulled filled with iron ore.
After that we drove the 245km to 80 Mile beach. It was so beautiful. We parked up and walked 1 minute through the caravan park and there was the Indian Ocean in all its glory, and the longest white sand beach.

The next day we awoke early so we could leave before it got too hot and drove the 350 kms to Broome.

We checked into the Cable Beach Caravan Park. Its got the nicest swimming pool i've ever seen.
We spent a lot of time in the pool for the 9 days we were there. It was extremely hot, approx 38 - 40 degrees everyday. A couple of days there was some thunder, and some lighning at night but we didnt get to see the storm.We went to a Crocodile Park which was a little unnerving as the wire mesh didnt look too safe.
We also went to Cable Beach which was just a couple of minutes walk (which i can tell you is enough in that kind of heat) and caught a sunset!!
We went to see Cheesy's nans sister too who was really sweet and they took us out for dinner.
Broome was really nice as there are no flies there for some reason which is great. Usually they are constantly buzzing in your ear or trying to get in your eye, its pretty gross. Also annoying coz its scares the crap out of me every time.

Anyway, it was a lovely trip and the journey back only took 4 days. Thats 2230 km in 4 days.
On the last day when we were driving from Mt Magnet where we stayed the night, to Perth i had just taken over the driving when suddenly a massive kangaroo jumped out on my right. I slammed on my brakes but still hit the back of it, maybe its tail, with the left side of the van. This is the biggest kangaroo we've seen yet as most the ones you see are joeys, well actually most of the ones we see are dead, but this one was at least as tall as me.
It was sad but i dont know if i killed it or not. After that, when we were about 2 hours away from perth we encountered a plague of locusts. It was like something out of the bible. we had to shut our windows for over and hour as there were plagues and plagues of them. It was so gross, they were stuck in the windscreen wipers and the roo bar. Yuck.
Also, you will not beleive what we drove through on our first day out of Broome!! At first it looked like a bush fire (which weve also driven thru) then we realized they were moving. They were in fact cyclons - tornados.( not torpedos ) One of them was massive and we had to stop for it to cross over the road infront of us. It was quite scary really, but also exciting. I videoed it so will show you when i get back!
